People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.  When you come and understand which one it is, you’ll know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.  They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.  They are like angels that guide you through your life.  They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.  Sometimes they die.  Sometimes they walk away.  Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.  What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled and their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on. It’s time for them to say goodbye.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because it is now your turn to share, grow or learn.  These are the people that enters your life to give you a burst of happiness or calm serenity. They are there to share, learn things and even teach you something you have never done before.  These people usually give you the most unbelievable amount of joy.  The feeling may be surreal,  but it’s true. Sadly, they’ll only last for a SEASON.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your role is to accept this person and forever share the lessons you have learned in all relationships in your life.  This person is a REASON and SEASON rolled into one. This person will be at your side whatever happens.

So take your time and thank them for being a part of your life. Appreciate them whether they were a reason, a season or a lifetime.
